Description

CARTHAGE. Circa 300 BC. Shekel (Silver, 18mm, 7.60 g 12). Head of Tanit to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. Horse standing right, his head turned back to left; behind, palm tree; to right, star. Gulbenkian 383. Müller 108. SNG Copenhagen 141. A very attractive and toned example. Extremely fine.
