Description

BRUTTIUM, Rhegion. Circa 480-462 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26mm, 17.26 g 2). Bearded charioteer driving biga of mules to right; in exergue, laurel leaf to right. Rev. RECI NON (retrograde) Hare running to right. Caltabiano 92.2 (this coin). HN III 2472. Jameson 451 (this coin). A lovely coin, lightly toned and most attractive. Some very minor old scratches, otherwise, extremely fine.
