Description

[Hunter.] MacDonald, G. Catalogue of Greek Coins in the Hunterian Collection University of Glasgow. Glasgow, 1899–1905. Volume I. Italy, Sicily, Macedon, Thrace and Thessaly. Volume II. North Western Greece, Central Greece, Southern Greece, and Asia Minor. Volume III. Further Asia, Northern Africa, Western Europe. Folio, pp. lxvi, 495; vi, 649; vi, 799; 102 fine plates. All three volumes in the original brown cloth, spines lettered in gilt, top edges gilt. From the library of Jacob Hirsch with his stamp in volumes one and two. A trifle shelfworn, the binding shaken but internally clean. A very good set of this classic reference, listing over 12,000 coins. Important, and with a notable provenance. Scarce thus. (3)
