Drachm late II-I century BC, AR 4.19 g. Head of Athena r., wearing crested Corinthian helmet decorated with Pegasus on bowl; in l. field, Φ; below, ΣΩΣΙΠΑΤΡΟΣ. Rev. An apparently unique variety. In an exceptional state of preservation and of superb style.
Perfectly struck on very fresh metal and with a lovely light iridescent tone. Minor
flan crack at eleven o’clock on obverse, otherwise good extremely fine
