Philistian issues. Quarter shekel / drachm, Gaza circa 450–400 BC, AR 3.92 g. Bearded male head r. Rev. ‘Ayin, Zain, Hé (AZA) Owl standing r., head facing, wings closed. Gitler-Tal, pp. 114-115, coin type V 2D.
Of the highest rarity, apparently the second specimen known.
Surface somewhat corroded, otherwise very fine
