Solidus 527-538, AV 4.30 g. DN IVSTINI – ANVS PP AVG Helmeted, pearl-diademed and cuirassed bust three-quarters facing, holding spear and shield with horseman and enemy motif. Rev. VICTORI – AAVGGGA Victory standing facing, holding long jewelled cross and globus cruciger ; in r. field, star and in exergue ALEXAOB. DO –. MIBE –. Sear–. Lanz München sale 148, 2010, 167 (this dies).
Exceedingly rare and apparently only the fourth specimen known. An issue of a
great historical importance, well-stuck on a full flan and extremely fine
