Stater, Alexander Troas circa 297-281, AV 8.55 g. Diademed head of Alexander r. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ – ΛΥΣΙΜΑΚΟΥ Athena seated l., holding Nike in outstretched r. hand and resting l. arm on shield decorated with lion’s head; in inner l. field, PA ligate. Palmette on throne and in exergue, M. Müller –. Thompson, Essays Robinson –. For the same mint and decoration of the throne, cf. Sotheby’s sale 19 June 1990, Hunt part I, 104 (this obverse die).
