Didrachm circa 400-380, AR 7.42 g. Diademed head of nymph Parthenope facing three-quarters r. Rev. NEOPOLI / THS partially retrograde Man-headed bull advancing l. Sambon 335 (this coin). Jameson 45 (this coin). Gillet 13 (this coin). AMB 43 (this coin). Rutter 71 (this coin).
Extremely rare and among the finest, if not the best, specimen known. A fascinating issue
with a superb portrait of fine Classical style. Lovely old cabinet tone, two almost
invisible marks, otherwise good very fine / about extremely fine
