Octavian, 32 – 27. Denarius, Brundisium or Roma circa 32-29 BC, AR 3.57 g. Bare head r. Rev. CAESAR – DIVI F Half naked Venus standing r., leaning on column and holding sceptre in l. hand and helmet in r. In l. field, a shield decorated with an eight-rayed star. C 63. BMC 601. RIC 250b. Sear Imperators 396. CBN 24. Rare. Struck on a very broad flan and with a lovely light iridescent tone. Extremely fine
