Corinthia, Corinth. Stater 500-450, AR 8.59 g. Pegasus flying r.; below, ?. Rev. Head of Athena r., wearing Corinthian helmet and pearl necklace; behind, ?. All within partially incuse square. SNG locket cf. 2034. Calciati 82/1 (this coin, wrong reference to Ravel). BCD Corinth 23. Ravel P156/T227-230. A magnificent portrait of superb style perfectly centred on a full flan. Lovely iridescent tone, about extremely fine / extremely fine Ex J. Schulman 243, Graham 1966, 203 and Leu 76, 1999, 125. From the Harald Salvesen collection.
