Epirus, Ambracia. Stater circa 360-338, AR 8.50 g. Pegasus flying r.; below, A. Rev. Head of Athena r., wearing Corinthian helmet; behind, youthful winged male figure riding dolphin to r., his hands clasped around l. knee. Beneath neck truncation, A. BMC 107. Calciati 100. Ravel Colts, 150. Very rare. Light tone, struck on an irregular flan and obverse slightly off-centre, otherwise about extremely fine Ex M&M Fixed Price List 576, 1994, 6 and M&M sale 79, 1994, 266.
