Greek Coins The Carthaginians in Sicily Tetradrachm, Sicily circa 320, AR 16.97 g. Head of Tanit-Persephone l., wearing barley wreath, earring and necklace; below chin, cockle shell. Around, four dolphins. Rev. Horse’s head l.; behind, palm tree with date clusters. SNG Copenhagen 85 (these dies). SNG Fitzwilliam 1488 (these dies). Jenkins Punic Sicily II, 163. Of wonderful style, struck on a very broad flan and with a lovely light iridescent tone. Extremely fine / about extremely fine
