Seleucid Empire, Seleucus II (246-226 BC), tetradrachm, uncertain mint, diademed head right, rev., ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ, Apollo standing left holding arrow and leaning on tripod; monograms on left and right, 16.79g, die axis 12.00 (SC 724.4, this piece; WSM 1003 var.), extremely fine. Provenance: Bank Leu 28, 5 May 1981, lot 193 and Bank Leu 36, 7 May 1985, lot 178.
