Ionia, Magnesia ad Maeandrum, tetradrachm, c. 150 BC, diademed head of Artemis right, quiver at shoulder, rev., ΜΑΓΝΗΤΩΝ, Apollo standing left, leaning against tall tripod; to left, ΕΥΦΗΜΟΣ ΠΑΥΣΑΝΙΟΥ; below, maeander pattern; all within wreath, 16.69g, die axis 12.00 (Jones p. 102; SNG Berry 1068), extremely fine. Provenance: Peus 291, 30 March 1977, lot 258.
