Rashtrakutas (7-9 Century AD), Silver Dramma, Obv: three-quarters profile bust of a man sporting a 'warrior' hairstyle, Rev: pot-bellied Kubera, God of wealth, seated facing on a couch, Sankhnidhi and Padmanidhi standing besides, 1.22g, 12.19mm, (Rashtrakutas, GBP # S1.3.1), about very fine, Extremely Rare.
Note: A rare and unusual type found in North Maharashtra and Khandesh areas, which according to some scholars were the homeland of the Rashtrakutas. Their first capital 'Mayurakhindi' has tentatively been identified with the Markanda fort in the Satmala range of North Western Maharashtra.
