Gupta Dynasty, Kumaragupta I (Mahendraditya) (415-455 AD), Gold Dinar, Archer-Reverse bow type, Obv: king, nimbate standing facing left, holding bow in his left hand in the reverse position and arrow in right hand, adorned Garuda standard at left, Brahmi legend "Ku(mara)" to right, Rev: goddess Lakshmi seated on a lotus in padmasana facing front, having beaded halo, holding mundmala in her right hand while the left is resting on her thigh, a lotus flower bud is seen adjacent to the goddess's face, its stem is seen rising from under her left arm, tamgha at top left, Brahmi legend "Sri Mahendra" in the right field, 7.83g, 17.21mm, (TOTGE, S. Kumar # Class II-Var. F/Unlisted in Altekar), about very fine, Extremely Rare.
Note: Goddess is seen holding mundmala and lotus in her hands. It is an extremely rare variety for the type.
