Delhi Sultanate, Suri Dynasty, Islam Shah (AH 952-960/1545-1552 AD), Gwalior Mint, Silver Rupee, AH 959, Obv: The Kalima shahada & mint mark within a square, four Caliphs' names in margin, Rev: al sultan bin al-sultan Jalal ud dunya wa’l din abu’l muzaffar Islam Shah bin Sher Shah Sultan khuld allahu mulkahu, hijri date within a square and Nagari legend ‘sri islam sah’ at bottom, 11.36g, 24.5mm, (G&G # D961A), about very fine, test marks, Rare. G&G lists only AH 957 for this type, this specimen has AH 959 clearly inscribed.
