★ Beautifully toned ★

CELTIC, Central Gaul. Sequani. Mid 1st century BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14 mm, 2.00 g, 2 h), Togirix. [TO]GIRIX Celticized head of Roma to left. Rev. [TO]GIRI[X] Horse springing left; below, stylized serpent. DT 3248. LT 5550. Beautifully toned. Minor area of weakness on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.

From an old Swiss collection, formed in the 1970s, privately purchased from Münzen & Medaillen, and from the collection of F. de Saulcy, Cahn 81, 5 April 1933, 1605 (part of), (with original Münzen & Medaillen ticket).
