LUCANIA. Metapontion. Circa 330-290 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.80 g, 1 h). Head of Demeter facing slightly to the right, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earrings and necklace; to lower right, [AΠ]. Rev. META Barley ear with leaf to right; above leaf, boukranion. HN Italy 1584. Johnston J6.2. Some weakness on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
