CELTIC, Southern Gaul. Volcae-Tectosages. 2nd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 3.43 g), 'à la croix' type. Celticized male head to left; before, two dolphins. Rev. Large cross with three ornaments and one axe in quarters; each quarter bound by crescent. Flesche 138. LT 3132. SLM 76. A beautifully toned and unusually attractive example. Good very fine.
