ATTICA. Athens. Circa 475-465 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 17.24 g, 8 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. AΘE Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig and crescent; all within incuse square. Starr group II. A bold example of wonderful style from the dekadrachm issue. Minor flatness on Athena's neck and with a die break on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
