UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Aureus' (Gold, 21 mm, 5.35 g, 12 h), imitating Maximianus, 286-305. MAXIMIANVS AVGVSTVS Laureate head of Maximianus to left. Rev. COS III Maximianus on horseback right, raising his right hand in salute. Cf. Calicó 4634 (with COS II) and 4635 (COS III but head to right) for prototype. With original suspension loop attached. Good fine.
