★ Very rare and in exceptional condition ★

COMMAGENE. Samosata. Circa mid 1st century BC. Tetrachalkon (Bronze, 22 mm, 8.38 g, 12 h), circa 66/5 or 57/6-54/3 BC. Eagle standing right with wings spread. Rev. ΣAMOΣATΩ[N] - ΠΟΛEΩΣ The Tyche of Samosata seated right on rock, holding palm frond in her right hand. Kovacs 288. RPC I 3848. Very rare and in exceptional condition. A particularly attractive example struck on a broad flan and with unusually complete legends. Minor smoothing, otherwise, very fine.
