★ Rare and in exceptional condition for the issue ★

CELTIC, Central Europe. Helvetii. Late 2nd to early first century BC. Scyphate Stater (Electrum, 23 mm, 6.90 g, 4 h). Celticized head of Apollo with curly hair to left; on the cheek, two pearls. Rev. Celticized charioteer driving biga to right; below, stylized triskeles running left; all within shallow circular incuse. Allen, SNR 53 (1974), 63. DT 3073. LT 8897. SLM 854-855. Rare and in exceptional condition for the issue. An unusually complete and sharply struck piece with a superb obverse. Good very fine.

From the Helvetii Collection, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
