KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 17.25 g, 1 h), Kition, under Pumiathon, circa 325-320. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ - AΛEΞANΔPOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, monogram of TK. Price 3109. A beautifully struck piece of fine style. Good very fine.
