CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 315-302 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.87 g, 9 h). ΣA Nude rider on horse galloping to right, stabbing with spear held in his right hand and holding two other spears and shield with his left; below, ΣA. Rev. TAPAΣ / Ω / Σ Youthful oikist, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding kantharos in his right hand and trident in his left; to lower right, small dolphin left. Fischer-Bossert Group 73, 886. HN Italy 937. Vlasto 614 and 616. Cleaning marks from removing horn silver, otherwise, good very fine.
