★ Rare and of beautiful style ★

CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 340-335 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.78 g, 5 h). Nude rider on horseback to left, leading second horse in the background and being crowned by Nike flying left behind him; in field to left, K; below, ΦI. Rev. TAPAΣ - K Youthful oikist, nude, riding dolphin to left, attempting to spear tunny below with trident; waves below. Fischer-Bossert group 52, 708 (V265/R552). HN Italy 896. Vlasto 402 ( same dies ). Rare and of beautifuly style. The reverse somewhat double struck, otherwise, good very fine.
