KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Stater (Gold, 17 mm, 7.11 g, 9 h), Pella, struck under Antipater, Polyperchon, or Kassander, circa 323-315. Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Charioteer driving biga to right, holding reins in his left hand and goad in his right; below the horses, thunderbolt. Le Rider 433 (D197/R321). A lustrous and attractive piece. Good extremely fine.
