ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 168/7-148 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 34 mm, 17.00 g, 12 h). Head of Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath and taenia. Rev. HΡAKΛEOΥΣ - ΣΩTHΡOΣ / ΘAΣIΩN Herakles standing front, head to left, holding club with his right hand and with quiver and lion skin over his left shoulder; to inner left, M. SNG Copenhagen 1039ff. A lovely and nicely toned example of fine early style. Light marks , otherwise, good very fine.
