SICILY. Gela. Circa 480/75-475/70 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 24 mm, 17.35 g, 11 h). Charioteer driving quadriga moving slowly to the right; above, Nike flying right to crown the horses. Rev. CΕΛΑΣ River god Gelas, in the form of a man-headed bull, walking to right. Jenkins 186 (O50/R107). Beautifully toned and of powerful late Archaic style. Very light pitting , otherwise, good very fine.
