SICILY. Kamarina. Circa 410-405 BC. Litra (Silver, 13 mm, 0.82 g, 2 h). KAMAPINA Head of the nymph Kamarina to left, wearing sphendone decorated with star, ampyx, spiral earring and necklace. Rev. Swan swimming left with raised wings and curved neck; below, waves and a fish swimming left. Jameson 529. SNG ANS 1210. Westermark & Jenkins 171. Very rare. A beautifully toned example of splendid style. Slightly granular , otherwise, good very fine.
