SICILY. Kamarina. Circa 405 BC. Litra (Silver, 12 mm, 0.72 g, 11 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with a hippocamp. Rev. KAMAPINAIA Nike advancing slowly to left, holding wreath in her right hand and kerykeion in her left. Westermark & Jenkins 210 ( same dies ). Very rare and among the best of very few examples known. Beautifully toned and struck from dies of enchanting Classical style. Somewhat rough , otherwise, about extremely fine.
