CAESAR - PARENS PATRIAE Laureate and veiled head of Julius Caesar to right; behind, apex; before, lituus. Rev. Cruciform C•COSSVTIVS / MARIDIANVS with A A A F • F in angles. Babelon (Julia) 43 and (Cossutia) 2. Crawford 480/19. RBW 1687. Sydenham 1069. A beautifully toned example with a splendid portrait. A minor old scrape on the obverse and with the reverse struck slightly off center as usual , otherwise, good very fine.
