Head of Demeter to left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to left; to left above leaf, griffin springing right; below leaf, ΛY. HN Italy 1589. Johnson C6.4. The obverse slightly rough , otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
