ISLAMIC, Seljuks. Rum. Rukn al-Din Qilich Arslan IV , first sole reign, AH 646-647 / 1248-1249 AD. Dirham (Silver, 22 mm, 2.40 g, 5 h), Siwas, AH 646 = 1248/9 AD. Archer on horseback right; crescent to left; pellet to right; star below; all within angled polylobe; name and titles of Rukn al-Din Qilich Arslan IV in outer margin. Rev. Name and titles of Abbasid caliph in three lines within angled polylobe; mint formula and AH date in outer margins. Album 1226. Rare. A clear and attractive example. Slightly clipped , otherwise, very fine.
