Mark Antony, 44-30 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.22 g, 1 h), with P. Sepullius Macer, Rome, April-May 44. CLEMENTIAE CAES AR IS Tetrastyle temple with closed doors and a globe in the pediment. Rev. P S[EPVLLIVS] / MACE[R] Desultor, wearing a conical cap and holding whip, riding a horse galloping to right with another beside him; to left, wreath and palm branch. Babelon (Julia) 52, (Sepullia) 7. Crawford 480/21. RBW -. Sydenham 1076. Very rare. Beautifully toned. Broken and glued , otherwise, very fine.
