C. Calpurnius L.f. Frugi, 67 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.95 g, 7 h), Rome. Head of Apollo to right, his hair bound with fillet; behind, two pellets. Rev. C PISO L F FRV Horseman galloping right; above, uncertain control mark. Babelon (Calpurnia) 24. Crawford 408/1b. RBW -. Sydenham 860d. Struck in high relief and with magnificent iridescent toning. Nearly extremely fine.
