Description

MACEDON. Neapolis. Circa 500-480 BC. Obol (Silver, 11 mm, 1.12 g). Facing head of a Gorgon with a protruding tongue. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square. BMC 13. SNG ANS 423. The obverse struck somewhat off center as usual , otherwise, good very fine.

From a German collection, assembled since the 1960s.
