LOW COUNTRIES. Verenigde Nederlanden (United Netherlands). 1581-1795. Ducat (Gold, 23 mm, 3.36 g, 3 h), a Levantine imitation of a Westfriesland Ducat, dated 1649. Knight standing right, holding sword and bundle of arrows. Rev. Legend within ornately framed tablet. Cf. Delmonte 836 and Fr. 294 (for prototype). Traces of overstriking , otherwise, very fine.

This is a contemporary imitation from the Levant with slightly blundered legends.
