Hadrian, 117-138. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.18 g, 6 h), uncertain eastern mint (Antiochia?), circa 119-121. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG Laureate and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right, wearing aegis on left shoulder. Rev. P M TR POTES COS III Aequitas standing front, head to left, holding scales in her right hand and a cornucopiae with her left. BMC -, cf. p. 378, 3 (citing an example in Berlin). Cohen -. RIC -. Very rare. A nicely toned piece of distinct eastern style. Minor roughness , otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
