★ An attractive cistophorus of Augustus from Pergamum ★

Augustus, 27 BC-AD 14. Cistophorus (Silver, 27 mm, 11.72 g, 12 h), Pergamum, 27/6 BC. IMP•CAESAR Bare head of Augustus to right; to right, lituus curved to right. Rev. AVGV-STVS Six grain-ears tied together. BMC 697. RIC 490. RPC I 2209. Sutherland 111. A nice and clear example of good style. Minor old marks on the obverse , otherwise, nearly very fine.
