ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 148-90/80 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 15.90 g, 12 h). Head of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath and taenia. Rev. HΡAKΛEOΥΣ - ΣΩTHΡOΣ / ΘAΣIΩN Youthful Herakles standing front, head to left, holding club with his right hand and with quiver and lion skin over his left shoulder; to inner left, monogram of MH. Le Rider, Thasiennes, 52. SNG Copenhagen 1040-5. Minor marks and with a die break on the reverse , otherwise, extremely fine.
