Gallienus, 253-268. Aureus (Gold, 18 mm, 2.65 g, 7 h), Rome, 257. IMP GALLIENVS P F AVG G M Laureate and cuirassed bust of Gallienus to right. Rev. PAX AVGG Pax advancing to left, holding branch in her right hand and scepter with her left. Calicó 3567 corr. (scepter not palm). Cohen -. MIR 160f ( same dies ). RIC 88. Of the highest rarity, apparently the second and by far the best example known. Struck from a somewhat worn obverse die and with a minor flan flaw on the reverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
