Description

MACEDON. Akanthos. Circa 500-480 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 15 mm, 2.53 g). Forepart of a bull to left, head right; to right above, acanthus flower. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square with granulated recesses. AMNG III, 10. BMC 7. SNG ANS 17. A nicely toned example. Light scuff on the obverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
