Description

CELTIC, Central Gaul. Aedui. Circa 80-50 BC. Quinarius (Silver, 15 mm, 1.84 g, 3 h). Celticized head of Roma to left. Rev. Horse springing left; in fields around, three circlets; below, uncertain symbol. D&T 3189. LT 5138 var. (wheel above horse). SLM 556. Nicely toned and unusually complete. Nearly extremely fine.

From the Helvetii Collection, formed in the 1970s and 1980s.
