CELTIC, Central Europe. Uncertain tribe . Circa 1st Century BC. Quinarius (Silver, 14 mm, 1.74 g, 12 h), 'Nauheimer Type', Mint in Hesse or Rhineland-Pfalz. Celticized head to right. Rev. Celticized figure advancing left, holding torque; annulets in field; all within wreath. D&T 205. Flesche 405. LT 9388. Beautifully toned. The reverse struck somewhat off center , otherwise, about extremely fine.
