★ A rare and clear potin from the Sequani ★

CELTIC, Central Gaul. Sequani . Circa 100-50 BC. Cast unit (Potin, 19 mm, 5.06 g, 9 h). Celticized head to left. Rev. Horned horse left, with S-shaped tail; below, annulets resembling IDO DO. D&T 3256. LT 5508. Rare and with an unusually clear reverse. Some breaks in patina , otherwise, good very fine.
