Drachm, about 400-360 BC. AR 6.02 g. Thessalos, naked but for chlamys and petasos flying in the air behind him, to l., holding a band with both his hands around the forehead of a bull leaping l. Rev. LAR - I - SAI Horse galloping r., trailing rein. BCD, Thessaly II, 372.10 (these dies). SNG Oxford 3861. SNG Delepierre 1108 (this rev. die). Old cabinet toning. From slightly worn dies. Small test cut on rim.
