Victoria gold "Inverted A" Sovereign 1852 AU58 NGC, KM736.1, S-3852C. Inverted "A" for "V" in VICTORIA. Extremely rare, with seemingly no comparable pieces having appeared at auction for over a decade; this piece represents the sole certified example by either NGC or PCGS! It is thus reasonable to assume that most prominent Sovereign collections omit this rarity, whose standard catalogue guide price is listed at £1,250 in Fine with no price listed for higher grades. This offering is bordering on Mint State, fully lustrous with only minor contact marks, richly colored a canary gold. An opportunity for the dedicated Sovereign collector which will be unlikely to repeat itself anytime soon.
