Qing Dynasty. Yunnan Sanchuo Jieding ("Three-Stamp Remittance") "Packsaddle" Sycee of 5 Taels ND (19th-20th Century), Cribb-LXVI.I.823, Assay mark A1. 60x34mm. 179.06gm. Cast at Yuanshengqing bank, inspected by assayers Tong, She, and Duan. Each of the three main stamps reads: "Yuan Sheng Qing Ji Hui Hao Wen Yin" (Yuanshengqing Bank, remittance bank fine silver), Assay stamps read: "Gong Gu Tong She Duan Kan" (Inspected by public assayers Tong, She, and Duan). Exquisitely toned with fine cabinet hues and bright luster, hardly a stray mark to be found. The reverse displays a small inventory sticker from Mr. Opitz's collection. This lot has not yet been assigned a grade, as it will be submitted to Gongbo for certification before the auction.
